In a recent interview, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ibrahim Raisei, shared his views on the ongoing war in Gaza, the role of the United States and European countries, and Iran’s support for the Palestinian resistance. Here are the key points from the conversation.
The War in Gaza
President Raisei expressed deep concern over the escalating violence in Gaza, particularly the killing of women and children. He criticized the United States and some European countries for supporting these actions. He emphasized that the world is divided into two sides: one that supports the US administration, some European countries, and the Zionist regime, and another that stands with the Palestinian people.
The Palestinian Resistance
The President praised the resilience of the Palestinian people, who continue to resist despite enduring years of torture and unfairness. He asserted that the Zionist regime has been unjust to the Palestinians for over 75 years, resulting in numerous deaths, imprisonments, and land confiscations. However, he believes that the Palestinian people’s strong will and resistance will ultimately lead to victory.
Iran’s Support for the Resistance
President Raisei confirmed Iran’s support for the Palestinian resistance, stating that they have the right to defend their people, their land, and their rights. He clarified that while Iran supports the resistance, the decisions and actions are entirely up to the resistance forces. He also emphasized that Iran’s support is not limited to Palestine but extends to all who defend their land and their nation.
“The resistance adopts the decisions that suit them, and they are doing their decisions, making their decisions, executing their decisions according to the benefit and according to their understanding and then it’s up to them.”

Diplomatic Endeavors
The President highlighted Iran’s diplomatic efforts with Arab and Muslim countries to achieve a unified regional position. These efforts aim to call for a ceasefire, deliver relief aid, and open border crossings. However, he criticized the United States and some European countries for opposing these efforts.
Red Lines and Future Plans
When asked about Iran’s red lines, President Raisei stated that all events in Gaza, including the killing of children and journalists, are red lines. He asserted that the resistance is not just one group or person, but a movement within the souls of the people. He expressed confidence in the strength of Iran and its people, stating that their strength lies not only in their weapons but also in their logic.
